Footfalls, Beckett and 2021.

Here is a look back at Beckett (1906-89).
Happy Days—–Samuel Beckett’s most sardonic, grim play in a league with Endgame (that is ground zero for despair).
Yet this photo evokes his happy days for sure even posthumously in Century 21.
I saw the American Premiere of FOOTFALLS while working as a unpaid Script Consultant @ Manhattan Theatre Club.
A simple yet profound story: Mother, daughter, time. Life, death and acceptance. FOOTFALLS always moved me.
The daughter’s journey has worn away the floorboards. Plodding the Earth but still moving. Mother and daughter have begun her own journey toward eternity. Stunning.
