Malevolent disdain, heads in the sand, the trainwreck came and went but they were on their private planes.
In 2018, the American people gave the congress back to a Democratic majority.

The Republican senate must share the same fate. $2 trillion dollars for Business.
Bezos earns 12 Billion dollars a day.

For what ?
I had a certain admiration for decent CEO’s. I don’t anymore. We are purple states now. Hundreds or thousands dying in each one.
Insane ?
Yes 12 billion Times, no less.

The President as bystander,
Like the protagonist in Henrik Ibsen’s Master Builder, the staggeringly inept TV performance of Donald J falls from his great height to smithereens. It is profoundly unfortunate that millions have cheered on his clownery to their detriment. Impeached, as his microscopic veneer of concern and exploding in anger under his glam façade about the sham economy and not the people who have already died and will continue to do so.

Henrik Ibsen explored The Master Builder in this masterpiece which prefigures a boss builder like Trump in the late 19th century.
At the Kennedy Center, I saw THE MASTER BUILDER in a shattering production with Richard Kiley and Jane Alexander. It is the most important play of our time from the 1890’s especially today.
We still want to present it as a staged reading this season if we can raise some support to do so live with a media partner.”Stephen Sondheim turns 90. 3/15/20
About 30 years ago I wrote Mr. Sondheim a letter obtrusely asking for his support early in my career. While at first he deferred, we began a correspondence and he became a donor and friend. In dark days and brighter years he urged me on and I am grateful. We wrote about other composers from Kurt Weill to Sylvano Bussotti.
A few years ago, I found myself at a bus stop across the street from Mr. Sondheim’s house. I knew his address from our correspondence but did not ring his bell. I knew him and he me over more than decades and query and response.
Thank you again Steve
And Buon compleanno alla 90.

Since we’re into “acting” and “breaking down” as a temporary now permanent modus vivendi. Where is Congressional oversight ? Acting or broken down too ?

Trump business by Frank Bruni.
Newark, NJ, March 25, 2020
My “wealth” is long gone burned by the 2008 collapse and paying my life savings into rent ever since.
Trump has a paucity of spirit; fame is fleeting. He may be rich but actually he is poor in everything else.

My first letter to The New York Times was published when I was 25. The New York Times Foundation gave us five $1,000 grants earlier in my career too.
A recent NYTimes article, forgive me, may have been well intentioned I say with empathy. But in a rage age starring djt, we need a different mode of journalism. PLEASE !!!!
